Experience in other PHA or risk assessment techniques such as consequences analysis, reliability analysis, and QRA, that may be recommended to further address hazards identified by HAZOP team.

Familiar with LOPA requirements and should ensure that information required to perform a LOPA is discussed and captured in the HAZOP worksheets.

Successful HAZOP Chair track record with good technical and analytical abilities

Job Overview: We have been tasked by our client, an established manufacturer of precision injection moulded components & 1st tier supplier to several key automotive OEMs who due to business growth are looking to source and recruit a Quality Engineer to join their team. As Quality Engineer you will be responsible for all aspects relating to Quality engineering within the business. As Quality Engineer you will understand, maintain and implement changes (as determined by the Quality Manager) for all quality-related systems (i.e. QS9000, TS16949, etc) generating and documenting said systems ensuring that they are actively put into practice within all areas of the company. The Quality Engineer will organise, manage and control an internal audit of systems to monitor performance against the schedule set for QS9000 / TS16949 and act as “point of contact” on the shop floor in matters relating to Quality. This role will require detailed analysis and the completion of reporting and documentation ensuring all quality related documents and systems are kept up to date. Audits will be conducted ensuring traceability of all documents in line with TS procedures as required. The maintenance of records associated with both external and internal scrap rate, instances and PPMs, the collation of information required to generate reporting relating to KPIs, the compilation, closing, and actioning of 8D reporting will all form part of these duties. As Quality Engineer you will interact with customers and suppliers regarding quality issues, work off site at customers to implement corrective action and understand or gain the knowledge to understand customer specific testing requirements or specification requirements as appropriate. Person Requirements: My client requires an experienced Quality Engineer ideally from an automotive background with plastics/injection moulding knowledge. A full understand of quality systems (QS9000, TS16949) and tools (PPAP, APQP, FMEA, SPC, 8D etc) is also deemed important for the success of this role. Previous customer interfacing experience is also important as is clear and effective communication and negotiation skills at all levels.
